I’m a Microsoft MVP! 🎉

I’m beyond excited to share some incredible news—I’ve been awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) title! 🎉 This is such a meaningful milestone in my journey as a .NET developer and community advocate, and I’m so grateful to be recognized in this way.

What is the Microsoft MVP Award?

The Microsoft MVP Award is given to technology experts who go above and beyond in sharing their knowledge and passion with the community. It’s a global recognition for people who contribute to tech through speaking, blogging, open-source contributions, or simply helping others grow. Being part of this inspiring group of experts feels truly humbling.

From the Lab to the .NET Community

A few years ago, I was working in a lab, completely immersed in research, never imagining that I’d one day be part of the software development world. That all changed when I volunteered at Techorama, the biggest .NET conference in Belgium and the Netherlands. I discovered a community that instantly felt like home—passionate, welcoming, and filled with people doing what they truly love.

The encouragement I received from that community gave me the confidence to take a leap into tech, and I haven’t looked back since. Because the community played such a huge role in my journey (and still inspires me today), I’ve always felt a strong pull to give back. That’s why I’ve been part of the Techorama crew from the beginning and why I run Visug, the .NET user group in Belgium. My goal has always been to help create that same sense of belonging and inspiration that once guided me.

If you’re ever considering a big career shift, know this: having the right community around you can make all the difference.

Looking Ahead

This MVP award isn’t just a personal achievement—it’s a reflection of the amazing community I’m lucky to be part of. It’s also a reminder of why I love doing what I do: sharing knowledge, helping others grow, and creating spaces where people feel inspired to take the next step in their own journeys.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who’s been part of my story so far, and I can’t wait to keep learning, sharing, and growing together with all of you. 💜

If you’re ever at Techorama or a Visug event, come say hi—I’d love to hear your story!

Thank you again for all the support. Here’s to the next chapter! 🚀
